Flue gas cleaning and condensation
Ehox designs and supplies flue gas scrubbers that combine gas cleaning and heat recovery in one process. In the scrubber, flue gas comes into contact with the scrubbing liquid, which captures impurities.
During heat recovery, the flue gas is cooled. When water vapour in the gas condenses, heat is released and recovered. The heat is transferred to a suitable system, such as process water, a district heating network or another process that can use it.
In practice, heat recovery scrubbers almost always also remove sulphur and chlorine compounds from the flue gas. The process, equipment and materials are selected according to the gas characteristics, treatment objectives and operating conditions.
